As your therapist, I will help you figure out where you are and where you would like to be.
There are ups and downs in each person’s personal journey – moments of triumph and moments of struggle. Wherever you are, whoever you are, chances are good that you could benefit from the professional assistance of a therapist. I firmly believe that therapy is beneficial to all people, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), I am standing by to help you work toward and achieve a more fulfilling life, whatever that looks like for you.
As your therapist, I will help you figure out where you are and where you would like to be. My approach has two main components:
- Person-centered: You are a unique individual, and I want to get to know you and what is important to you. The therapeutic relationship is key to effective therapy, and I believe every person deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. I am nonjudgmental, sex-positive, body-positive, and LGBTQ-affirming.
- Strengths-based: Together, we will figure out what is working in your life currently, and we will build on those strengths to help you work towards your goals. Your personal goals may be very different than another person’s, and that is okay. I may also use different therapeutic modalities, depending on your unique situation.
