I’m a collaborative therapist offering a safe space for my clients to grow, heal, and thrive.
I know how difficult the search for a therapist can be. Finding the right fit for your personality, background, and needs can be a daunting task. If you are knee-deep in the search, know that you are doing a challenging but hopefully fruitful and worthwhile thing. As I describe my approach below, I invite you to consider whether we might be a good fit.
In my view, therapy must always be collaborative. That’s why I prioritize the therapeutic relationship first and foremost, focusing on building trust with my clients as a prerequisite to any therapeutic modality or approach. I am always person-centered instead of problem-centered, valuing the whole person sharing their life experiences and inner world with me. It’s an honor I am grateful to witness and strive to support in a way that is down-to-earth, practical, and kind.
As an LGBT therapist, it’s important to me that my door is always open to all, and that each person feels they are treated with dignity and respect in my practice. I am dedicated to creating a safe space for you to explore your therapeutic goals while being completely, fully, yourself.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) and am also trained in EMDR trauma therapy. Providing evidence-based and compassionate therapy services is paramount for me, and I am committed to ongoing education to continue to learn and grow in my field.
